$25 fee
Consultation

- Extensive estimates (multiple estimates for one jobsite)
- Design (onsite meeting(s), drawings or graphics)
- Working with clients on jobs (teaching them a new skill)
- Professional shopping w/ clients (includes the SEC truck)
* This fee applies only to Marty or a Lead Carpenter, but never for both if we are working with a client. SEC Introductory Rates to increase after '08.
Using SEC you get TWO carpenters for $75 per hour...compare that to one plumber at $85 per hour

Dumping Fees
$55 per load*
* Fee includes one truck load, labor and dumping fees.SEC takes every step to recycle or reuse old material. Pre-dumping options are: To reuse it! or http://raleigh.craigslist.org/ or habitat for humanity or http://groups.yahoo.com/group/FreecycleOrange/ or we will separate and recycle debris at the landfills.
Change Order Fee
$50**
** Any Change Order will obviously alter the jobs cost and time line. Agreeing to the change order, you (the client) acknowledge an increase in the jobs completion time and expense.)
Office Management
For jobs larger than $3,500 and/or lasting more than one week. A $25 fee will be billed to clients for each update and/or invoice.
Deposit
SEC requires a 30% deposit toward the estimated total to start a project. We will provide a weekly/or/ bi-weekly finance update that lists material purchases, SEC labor & sub expenses. A payment toward that update is due the following week and so on, up to the last 10% of the projected job cost (including change orders). This allows us to move through the job without any payment delays and gives the clients written record of how things are progressing. SEC works on a time & material basis only unless otherwise specified on the written agreement.
Notice
Like the industry standard; half the distance to a job is billed under labor to help cover travel expenses (fuel costs) and time toward preparing for a job.
